Comments about Cobra Limited Edition White S3 Driver:
Currently have cobra ZL and traded in S2 and D2 Comp after reasearching the S3 limited edition. The changes to the S3 looked interesting but the RIP shaft in the limited edition in regular with 3.9 torque is what sold me. Torque on ZL is 4.5 and I wanted to lower ball flight a little. I liked the feel of the drivers overall weight in my hands when I picked it up as it was not light like others. I was more than suprised by the results when hitting this thing. I am not long and was not excited about a new driver as I have had many. I am after control. My two playing partners commented on my first three drives that were straight down the middle with the 2nd and 3rd longer than usual. This pattern continued thru the round on about 70% of my tee shots with the only exceptions being when I tried to swing faster and harder for more distance. I used the normal swing for the remainder of the round and the last 3 holes looked like the first three all over. This driver is forgiving as I hit one of these and commented that's a hook and it held it's line and carried ending up to be one of the top three drives of the day for me. You know when you hit it in the sweet spot (not loud) but the off center hits sound dull and still carry. The ZL has been my go to driver but is now my back up and will come out when the courses are wet due to its higher ball flight.
