Nike - Women's VRS Covert 2.0 Driver
VRS Covert 2.0 Driver
New Fly-Brace technology
Nike has updated their very successful and popular women's VRS Covert driver with all new Fly-Brace technology in the hollow internal cavity to arrive at the new women's VRS Covert 2.0 performance driver. The new Fly-Brace improvements feature an updated support brace inside the clubhead that runs from the crown on top to the sole on the bottom - to create what Nike says is a significantly stronger rock-solid union, stiffening the clubhead in the process which results in more stability and less energy loss.
An updated redesign of the women's Covert 2.0 driver gives a face area increase of 7-percent compared to the 2013 Covert with Nike’s new version of NexCOR face technology that features a richer, full sound at impact with its variable face thickness than that of the previous softball sounding Covert. Nike’s patented FlexLoft system offers the same adjustability used in 2013. Lofts can be adjusted from 8.5 to 12.5 degrees, and face angle can be modified with three positions. All of which is intended to optimize launch and spin conditions for individual golfers.
PGA Tour player Kevin Chappell currently uses the Covert 2.0 driver and characterized it as a driver that launches the ball straight off the tee rather than curving it and that it is “really long and goes where you aim it.” Rory McIlroy and Nick Watney are among the players who have also recently joined Chappell in using the new Covert 2.0 driver. Tiger Woods switched drivers earlier this year at the British Open from Nike's VR Tour to a prototype version of the VRS Covert and also at the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge.
Sported with a second-generation Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage Black HBP (High Balance Point) 50 graphite shaft and ready to take aim, the all new women's VRS Covert 2.0 performance driver is poised to deliver more forgiving distance, faster ball speed and simple, intuitive customization to meet the swing and style of your game for ultimate Nike performance.
