very comfortable on a day that started chilly & ended up hot. (typical desert). The width actually is wide enough for my kind of duck shaped feet. I also still have enough play in the laces to widen or tighten as the socks or my feet change. These are wide at the ball where it matters and the heel still fit well - did not slip. Definatley made a positive difference to have cleats. (Was a better than average driving day). Better stance in the rough. Better stance in the sand.Good looking shoe in neutral colors. It will turn RED [like the dirt] in time, as everything does here. I would have chosen a little darker color just for that if available. I wear a cleated sandle in the real serious heat [with sunscreen&light sock]. These shoes were still comfortable after 18 holes on what turned out tobe a 89 degree day. The complete leather sides and toe were definetly appreciated while walking out in the desert areas to look for other peoples balls.I found these on sale for [...]I was prepared to pay more for the quality of Nikes. I've worn Nike Air's for running for years, so I expected a good fit. Very satisfied.
