Forged out of a soft 8620 steel, a thicker hitting area and hour-glass-shaped reinforced back cavity provide solid feel and feedback. A machined face and grooves ensure maximum spin and control. A high-density tungsten toe weight is balanced by a longer hosel to optimize the CG position for penetrating, high-spin trajectories.
The Anser wedges have a thicker face in the impact area and a stabilizing bar that will bring consistency to your shot making. Control also comes from minimizing face fluctuation.
Tapered Sole
The sole tapers narrower from toe to heel for exceptional performance from tight lies and bunkers.

The lowest bounce option on the Anser 60 degree is 10, they go down to 8 degrees of bounce on the Tour-S wedges. Within Ping and most manufacturers they are not going to offer the 60 degree with a 4 degree bounce option. If anything, to improve control with your wedges you could consider shafting them stiffer than your standard irons. However, we would recommend having all your wedges shafted with the same stiffness as a set.Answered on 11/3/2011 by Kyle from GolfDiscount.com
