In the design of the i15 iron, PING engineers focused on the better player who prefers an iron set that offers the control to play a variety of shots. Created as a progressive set, the longer irons are larger for more forgiveness while the mid- and short-irons transition slightly smaller to ensure more workability and control on approach shots. The stainless steel iron features a tungsten toe insert to add forgiveness to the mid-size design. A stabilizing bar and new Custom Tuning Port (CTP) provides the feel and sound attributes preferred by better players.
Features:
- Mid-sized head for workability with cavity back forgiveness
Multi-material construction: 17-4 stainless steel head and tungsten toe weight
- Progressive set design: Blended set design that offers forgiveness in the long irons and more trajectory control in the mid and short irons
- New Custom Tuning Port (CTP) saves five grams of weight which is re-positioned to optimize the center of gravity
- Stabilizing bars in cavity for improved feel and control
- Investment cast 17-4 stainless steel, heat treated
- Available 4-PW

Ping's new G15 & i15 irons continue with the tradition the Ping is known for, being very non traditional...sort of. The G15's offer all of the benefits of a hybrid iron without the cumbersome, oversized look while the i15s are the more traditional, less offset offering.

Q:
I have been using Ping Eye 2 for years - I just got my handicap to 10, would you call the I15 the right upgrade for todays technology? Thank you!Asked on 6/19/2011 by Hockey_15 from Kingsland, GA1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The i15's are designed for the better player, but aren't overly intimidating and still provide a decent head size and forgiveness, so with a 10 handicap I believe they would be a very nice transition for you. The G15 irons would be another option to consider, but compared to the EYE2's, you may find those to be a bit on the bulky side, with their thicker top line and sole.Answered on 6/20/2011 by Kyle from GolfDiscount.com

Just became a scratch player with some very old Hogan Edge clubs, which are not so easy to hit, and been told this clubs are used by pros, How good are these clubs? compare to the best? and what about fitting? thank you.Asked on 4/20/2011 by David from Nashville, tn1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The Ping i15 irons are a great club for the lower handicap player looking for a little bit of forgiveness and height to their shots without a lot of offset. The i15 is the exact same club as their Anser Forged irons, the i15 is simply cast not forged like the Anser. These are geared towards the better player, again looking more for accuracy than anything. We can order the irons with any custom lie angle, length or grip size at no extra cost. Any change in the shaft brand or grip brand may entail an upcharge. Please contact us if we can be of further assistance.Answered on 4/28/2011 by Laura from GolfDiscount.com Sales Staff
