i20 Irons
Optimized Performance.
Performance is optimized in the i20 multi-metal irons through a progressive set design. The long irons are slightly larger, high launching and more forgiving. The smaller short irons feature less offset and provide exceptional control. Distance control and a solid feel come from a thicker than normal hitting area and stabilizing bars in the cavity.
A high-density tungsten toe weight provides forgiveness across the face for accurate results and a high-launch, low-spin trajectory. An innovative design gives you complete command of the clubface for controlling trajectory and shot shape. The black-and-silver color scheme and satin-chrome finish with a ferrule offer a clean, professional look.

Custom Tuning Port
A vertical CTP positions the CG for optimizing launch conditions. Tungsten toe weighting elevates forgiveness.
Stabilizing Bars
Stabilizing bars and a thicker face ensure distance control and a solid feel. A ferrule offers a clean, high-performance look.
Ping CFS Steel Shaft
The new CFS steel shaft features fewer steps, engineered more efficiently, to allow the shaft to deliver a smooth, even flow of energy from the clubhead to the golfer's hands for optimal feel and stability.

Comments about Ping i20 Irons:
INTRODUCTION
The i20 line is a real winner from PING. I was looking to upgrade from an old set of Wilsons, and after testing every new iron on the market, the i20s were the distinct No. 1. After playing over ten rounds with them, my decision was validated. These irons are nothing short of spectacular.
LOOKS
The i20s are very good-looking clubs. The no-glare finish is extremely helpful on bright, sunny days. The size and shape of the head is perfect...no frills or gimmicks, just business. The offset in the long irons may be unappealing at first to those who are not accustomed to it, but it is very easy to get used to. For me, the look of the long irons instills confidence because I know how easy they are to hit. Overall, the i20s look as good as an iron can look.
PERFORMANCE
The most important aspect of an iron is how well it performs on the course. If I had two words to describe the i20s, they would be "accurate" and "forgiving". This was the deciding factor that influenced my purchase of the i20s. I cannot stress enough how forgiving these irons are, so I'll describe one of my experiences. Par 3, 190 yards to pin. I pull out a 4 iron, make a swing, and immediately knew I mishit it. I fully expected to be way short and offline, but not only was the ball flying DEAD straight, it also caught the front of the green. I go to look at the ball mark on the face of the club, and IT WAS ON THE VERY EDGE OF THE TOE. That's right, a toed 4 iron went dead straight and only lost 10 yards. This is when I knew that I had bought the right irons.
The i20's sole make it very easy to hit out of the rough and fairway bunkers. The short irons play perfectly, but my favorite part about the i20s are the long irons. Previously, I used to be very scared to hit long irons, but with the i20s, this is not the case. They are exceedinly easy to hit. If you struggle with long irons, look no further than the i20s.
FEEL
Despite being cast iron clubs, the i20s feel as soft as any forged clubs that I have experimented with. They do not feel harsh like some other PING releases in the past, which I am very pleased about.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The i20s are truly amazing clubs. The short irons look, feel, and perform perfectly, and the long irons are a breeze to hit. They are dead accurate and extremely forgiving...the ultimate point and shoot irons. The i20s are an instant classic from PING.

Comments about Ping i20 Irons:
I replaced my 3 year old set of irons from another manufacturer, not because they were bad clubs but because I read so many reviews extolling the merits of the Ping I 20 irons. They came out best of all irons this year in the Golf Digest club picks.
I took them to the range today and saw immediately that hey were the straightest clubs I've ever had. Not any longer than my last set but definitely more accurate. I vacillated between these and the Ping G 20s, and finally went with the I20s because I also like the I 20 hybrid better than the G 20.
It is even possible to work the shorter irons, left or right as needed.
I highly recommend these irons to anyone with less than a 15 handicap. Anything over that may be better off with the G 20s.

Q:
What are the difference between i-20 irons and g-20?Asked on 1/9/2012 by Anonymous from Mich1 answer
A:
The i20's are designed as more of a players clubs for mid-to-low handicappers. They have thinner soles and offer more flight and trajectory control. The G20's will have thicker soles, and offer more forgiveness for distance and straight flight, even on mis-hits.Answered on 1/11/2012 by Kyle from GolfDiscount.com
