The L5V has the largest club face in golf, providing maximum COR across the face and extreme forgiveness. It also features lightweightcarbon composite crown and sole inserts to maximize MOI and shift CG lower to promote high launch and low spin – for longer, straighter drives. Another key feature of the L5V is the exclusive hosel design, which you can adjust to optimize your personal ball flight andalso accommodate more than 30 available custom shaft options.

CARBON COMPOSITE CROWN AND SOLE
The carbon composite crown and sole inserts are notonly ultra-lightweight, they are designed to shift theCG lower and further back to provide high MOI and highlaunch, as well as optimal spin.

HOSEL SCREW PORT
Every L5V comes equipped with a proprietary L5V torquewrench. By inserting the wrench into the hosel screw portyou can perform two functions: Adjust the ball flight and/orchange the shaft.

SWINGWEIGHT SCREW
The swingweight screw helps balance the clubhead with the shaft. Each swingweight screw is specifically weighted for X, F or Mstock Diamana Red Board Shafts. All custom shafts are availablewith a custom weighted screw to maintain ideal swingweight.

ADJUSTABLE FLIGHT TECHNOLOGY
With the L5V torque wrench you can quickly and easily change your ballflight characteristics. The “0” setting on the hosel is for Standard Flight, while the “1” setting promotes Increased Draw-Biased flight. The system also allows you to change shafts to further customize the driver.

TO ADJUST THE FACE SETTING/BALL FLIGHT
The new King Cobra L5V Driver utilizes an exclusive hosel sleeve with two built-in face settings: Standard (0) and Increased Draw-Bias (1). Each driver is factory set in the Standard position (0 – pointing towards target).

This technology allows you to adjust between a Standard and Increased Draw-Bias ball flight by following these simple steps:

  1. Securely hold the clubhead in one hand, and the Cobra torque wrench in the opposite hand.

  2. Loosen the shaft by inserting the wrench bit into the hosel screw from the soleplate and rotating counterclockwise until the shaft can be removed.

  3. Note: Insert torque wrench directly into the hosel screw to avoid damaging the screw head. It is not necessary to completely remove the hosel screw to rotate the shaft. Simply loosen the screw enough to clear the hosel sleeve keyed features.

  4. Turn the shaft 180° and insert back into the clubhead. The markings on the hosel sleeve indicate the face setting:

  5. ‘0’ facing target – Standard Face setting
‘1’ facing target – Increased Draw-Bias Face setting
  6. Tighten the screw by inserting the wrench bit into the hosel screw and rotating clockwise until the torque wrench clicks once. The audible click ensures that the screw has been installed correctly. Do not over or under tighten the hosel screw.

  7. Note: If the torque wrench does not click, your L5V clubhead is not properly tightened and may not perform as designed.

TO CHANGE SHAFT
The new King Cobra L5V Driver offers the ability to easily interchange the factory installed shaft with any available* customized shaft. Follow these steps to customize your new King Cobra L5V Driver:

This technology allows you to adjust between a Standard and Increased Draw-Bias ball flight by following these simple steps:

1 - Install the customized replacement shaft
  1. Securely hold the clubhead in one hand and the Cobra torque wrench in the opposite hand. Note which number on the hosel sleeve is facing forward, 0 or 1.

  2. Be sure to install your new shaft in the same orientation.

  3. Loosen the clubhead by inserting the wrench bit into the hosel screw and rotating counterclockwise until the shaft can be removed.

  4. Install the customized replacement shaft in the desired face angle setting (see Step 3 of “To Adjust Face Setting”).

  5. Tighten the hosel screw by inserting the wrench bit into the hosel screw and rotating clockwise until the torque wrench clicks once. The audible click ensures that the screw has been installed correctly. Do not over or under tighten the hosel screw.

2 - Install the corresponding swingweight screw**
  1. Securely hold the clubhead in one hand and the Cobra torque wrench in the opposite hand.
  2. Loosen the swingweight screw by inserting the wrench bit into the swingweight screw and rotating counterclockwise until the screw can be loosened by hand.
  3. Install the new swingweight screw by aligning the threads of the screw with the threads of the L5V clubhead.
  4. Tighten the swingweight screw by inserting the wrench bit into the head and rotating clockwise until the torque wrench clicks once. The audible click ensures that the screw has been installed correctly. Do not over or under tighten the hosel screw.
Note: Do not attempt to clean or remove the red substance off of the hosel and swingweight screw threads. Doing so may cause the screws to loosen over time.
