Taylormade's 'Superfast' technology delivers more distance by creating a more effective MOI (Moment of Inertia), even compared to the newer 'Square' drivers. MOI stands for Moment of Inertia, and is calculated using a standardized formula set forth by the USGA. MOI generally relates to a clubhead's ability to resist twisting on off-center hits. The more the clubhead twists, the more ball speed is lost, and the shorter the shot. "Effective MOI" is TaylorMade's term for a driver's ability to reduce ball speed loss and promote distance on mis-hits by virtue of both the MOI of the head and the positive effects of Inverted Cone Technology.
