          After several tournament letdowns, I began taking lessons and working on ball striking, but my putting continued to suffer these past few months. Had been using a 2005 Studio Newport for several years but really started struggling lately. I had lost all confidence in both long and short putts. Last weekend hit 15 greens and shot a 77... that was it, time for a new putter.

          I tried out many 'alignment' putters and settled on the Ghost Spider 34" 1/2 shaft offset. Took it to the putting green with no expectations and was blown away. For me, this face-balanced putter basically sets itself up square. After hitting a few putts, I realized how much I had been fidgeting with my old putter and rarely setting the blade up square. Now that that's taken care of, I focused on distance and the putts began to fall. Unlike some other reviews, I like the sound... it's a low-pitch "tink". The ball comes off the face nicely, and I'm not having to force anything or overthink my putts. Most notable difference: every single putt took off on the line I thought it would.

          I highly recommend trying one of these. Keep the receipt, take it to a practice green, and just hit some putts. You're likely to be pleasantly surprised!

                  Saw this bad boy roll out on my local salesfloor and thought id give it a try. Defenitley a good confidence builder for those who struggle with alignment and tempo. The high MOI ensures that putts will still roll true even with a slight mishit. Only cons are the amount of black allignement ligns that might confuse the novice golfer and the clanky sound the ball makes coming off the face.
