The new dual-density dampening system (3DS) ensures both long irons and short irons deliver the responsiveness you need to flush every shot. The key to the 3DS system is the dual-density elastomer technology. The dampening system sits elegantly in the rear sole of the cavity punctuating the classic design to deliver unrivaled feel. The 3DS system is softer in the scoring irons (7-SW) to produce a smooth, buttery feel and greater spin. In the mid and long irons, a firmer density promotes greater rebound, added distance and a responsive, solid feel.

Innovation can be found in every line, surface, and feature of the XCG. The thin top-line, tour heel grind, progressive offset, and classic shape exude refined feel, power, and control. The heel grind helps reduce turf drag in the rough for consistent contact and purely struck shots. Delivering performance as stunning as its appearance, the XCG boasts a heavy sole which lowers the club's center of gravity (CG). The result is a visually classic iron that provides remarkable forgiveness, high flying shots, and offers an extra club's length of distance.
