To compliment their Victory Red drivers, irons, and wedges, Nike presents the VR Fairway Woods and Hybrids. Designed for some of the best players in the world.

Transcript:

To compliment their new Victory Red driver offerings, Nike has also released Victory Red Fairway Woods and Hybrids for the 2010 season.

The VR Fairway Woods feature the same Str8-Fit adjustability found in the Str8-Fit Tour Driver. Golfers can chose to implement up to 32 different face and lie angle options to produce a variety of shot shapes. A closed face can help battle a slice, while an open face can combat a hook. Golfers looking to refine their set-up, and generate a preferred ball flight, will also benefit from the Str8-Fit’s adjustability. The mid-shallow head and smooth sole design of the VR Fairway has been engineered for optimal workability and performance from any lie on the course. The VR Fairway Wood has also been designed with a Split Compression Channel in the sole of the club, as well as a 455 ultra-thin face. Together these two features deliver faster ball speeds and longer distance from heel to toe.

The Victory Red Hybrid implements the same Split Compression Channel and ultra-thin face as the VR Fairway to maximize ball speed and distance. These features combine with tour-inspired aesthetics and design to deliver the performance demanded by some of the best players in the world.

Both the VR Fairway Woods and Hybrids come standard with the tour-caliber Aldila Voodoo shaft, engineered with “Score” technology.

While the jury is still out on whether golfers are going to accept the look of the VR Hybrid, the VR Fairway Wood is a solid offering, with traditional looks and a solid set-up that will appease both mid and low handicap players.
