The music legend wasn’t wasted again in Magaritaville. He was caddying for his niece Patricia Ehrhart during a practice round for the inaugural U.S. Senior Women’s Open.
Jimmy Buffet may not have been “nibblin’ on sponge cake,” but he probably was “watchin’ the sun bake” recently at the Chicago Golf Club.
“Our friend [Patricia Ehrhart] is competing in the Senior US Open tournament this weekend!” Buffet said on Instagram. “Respect! We’re going to caddy this practice round.”
Ehrhart made it to the semifinals of the 2017 U.S. Women’s Senior Amateur. She also works for her uncle, serving as the travel and event manager for his Margaritaville Surf Team. The 52-year-old golfer is the mom to three daughters who are competitive surfers.
Ehrhart, who regained her amateur status four years ago, went on to finish in a respectable tie for 23rd in the championship.
Below Uncle Jimmy shows his laid-back approach to golf.
