Welcome to another edition of #TuesdayGolfClinic in which we:

  • Field your golf questions submitted via social media (Facebook and Twitter), through comments at this blog and via email.

  • Offer golf instruction and golf tips to help you improve your game and enjoy golf more.

This week we’re excited to share a new Callaway video featuring Phil Mickelson.

If you have ever struggled to shape your shots—straight, fade, slice, draw, hook—this short video lesson from Phil can definitely help.

“When we shape a shot … we want to keep it as simple as possible and make the same golf swing,” Phil says.

The adjustments Phil makes to hit different shot shapes are 1) the clubface (square, open, closed) and 2) his stance and body. There’s no need to change the grip or the swing.

“We can keep it simple,” he concludes, “or we can make it complex. Your choice.” (I vote for simple.)

Take Phil’s advice to the driving range and try it out. Good luck!
