Callaway started from scratch with the XR Deep Fairway Wood, changing everything from the Face Cup to the head shape to make golfers longer than they already are. It’s led by a next generation Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup that increases ball speeds across the face for greater distance and forgiveness, especially when you use it off the tee.

More distance, lower spin and versatility are the highlights of adding a re-engineered Internal Standing Wave. And the completely redesigned shape is suited to deliver higher speeds. Callaway put in all this technology so you pick up more yards off the tee, and the fairway too.

Callaway developed a lighter, thinner next generation to the Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup. It increases ball speed all across the face and makes these clubs easier to hit with more forgiveness.

More Distance And Versatility Off The Tee A lower CG, a lot less spin and even more ball speed are what we get when we move the weight low and more forward with our re-engineered Internal Standing Wave. It’s an important piece to add distance particularly off the tee, and from the fairway.

Speed From Maximum Shaft Load The shaft is a key component to speed, that’s why we put in the new Project X LZ. It produces maximum shaft load during the downswing for greater energy transfer to the ball.
