Garmin’s new Approach S6 is their slimmest, lightest GPS golf watch yet, looking like a normal digital watch, but inside containing new technology designed to improve your golf swing while guiding you through over 38,000 golf courses around the world.

Featuring an incredibly crisp hi-res color touchscreen display and the first-of-its-kind Swing Metrics functions - the new Approach S6 gives you the ability to measure your “swing tempo” (by measuring your upswing and downswing), an audio metronome (to guide you toward better golf swings), a “tempo training” mode to help you optimize your golf swings and even a “swing strength” mode that calculates and quantifies how hard you swing your golf clubs so you can train yourself to swing more consistently.

Plus, Garmin integrated a new CourseView button into the Approach S6 that displays the true shape and layout of the entire hole (including tee box, fairway, and green) for the course on which you are playing. The S6 also features a PinPointer mode that provides blind shot assistance to point you in the direction of the pin when unable to see the pin directly. Touch Targeting with the Approach S6 lets you touch any point on the display and see immediately the precise distance to that exact spot - whether fairway, hazard or green.

Couple the S6 with access to Garmin Connect for online sharing and comparing of your rounds. Use the Smart Notification feature to receive emails, texts and alerts directly from your smart device to your Approach S6. Handicap Scoring options even allow for individual holes, player’s local handicap or index/slope methods. Loaded with many useful other features and roughly 10 hours of battery life in GPS mode and two weeks in simple watch mode before recharging, the new Approach S6 by Garmin is likely to be one of the most valuable tools in your golf kit and certain the perfect companion for beginner and advanced golfers alike.
