PING G30 Driver
The Best. Made even Better.
Since the G25’s release in late 2012, PING engineers have been coordinating with developers, compiling substantial data from PING consumer input and testing, testing, testing via PING Man, PING Golf’s mechanical swing robot first developed in 1976 and adeptly perfect at emulating normal human swing conditions along with crazy 150+ mph swing swing speeds --- to arrive at the next generation G-series 30.
With the huge success of the the G25, the new G30 makes “great” even better with new crown turbulator aerodynamics for measurable improvements that have reduced even further the driver’s drag forces, which helps to increase your clubhead speed for even more distance. Also, PING updated the G30 with a new higher strength, lighter T9S titanium face that has saved four grams from the face area to help better position the G30’s CG lower and farther back than the G25 for increased MOI and more club forgiveness. CG position optimization and increased perimeter weighting is enhanced even more with the G30’s sole louvered thin walls that stabilize sound and have saved weight.
Standardly equipped with PING’s TFC 419D shaft that features a high balance point allowing for the G30’s heavier head, the shaft increases MOI for more distance and will have you swinging stronger and straighter than ever. Other Tour shaft options offer lower trajectory with added control. The new G30 is also available in a 10° or 12°SF (Straight Flight) TEC model that features heel weighting with a lighter swing weight to promote straighter ball flights.
Based on the best of the best PING has to offer. Built on the best of the best PING has developed through the years. And engineered with every aspect of aerodynamics, center of gravity, inertia, and weight positioning optimally designed to improve your game --- the new PING G30 Driver is yet another magnificent milestone in Mr. Solheim and company’s precise and exacting manufacturing history of making the best equipment that can be made for people to play, the very best they can, the hardest game in the world.

Ping G30 Driver Expert Review
Written By: Bob Gomavitz
The first thing you will notice when looking down at the G30 are the Turbulators on the crown. These offer a captured appearance with the ball and assist with alignment and inspiration. The Flat Black 460cc head is one of the larger footprints you will see and looks so, so easy to swing. The G30 has a very solid feel with a sound like no other. The cracking sound off the face along with the solid feel made for that instant feeling that you just flushed your drive. This was easily one of most forgiving drivers that I tested. Mishits still felt semi-crisp, with good dispersion and length seemed to make driving the ball very easy. I also found that moving the ball left or right to not be as much of a chore as it can be with other heads.
Who's It For?
The better question is who is it not for? Ping offers two other G30 versions, but this version will no doubt fit the majority.
Simple yet effective adjustments made the G30 flat out fun to swing. Super feel and sound complemented by an excellent stock shaft only enhanced the experience. My test club had more loft than normal, but to my surprise it worked better than expected.
