PING G30 Tour Driver

The Best. Made even Better.

Right on the edge of their several year release schedule, PING is building upon their exceptional G25 Driver with their new, sheer performance powerhouse G30 Tour Driver that further showcases PING’s commitment to quality and optimal design. Since the G25’s release in late 2012, PING engineers have been coordinating with developers, compiling substantial data from PING consumer input and testing, testing, testing via PING Man, PING Golf’s mechanical swing robot first developed in 1976 and adeptly perfect at emulating normal human swing conditions along with crazy 150+ mph swing swing speeds --- to arrive at the next generation G-series 30.

With the huge success of the the G25, the new G30 makes “great” even better with new crown turbulator aerodynamics for measurable improvements that have reduced even further the driver’s drag forces, which helps to increase your clubhead speed for even more distance. Also, PING updated the G30 with a new higher strength, lighter T9S titanium face that has saved four grams from the face area to help better position the G30’s CG lower and farther back than the G25 for increased MOI and more club forgiveness. CG position optimization and increased perimeter weighting is enhanced even more with the G30’s sole louvered thin walls that stabilize sound and have saved weight.

The G30 Tour driver is equipped with PING’s Tour 65 shaft that features a lower trajectory, even more added control, along with a premium Tour silver PVD finish look and feel and will have you swinging stronger and straighter than ever. The new G30 Tour driver is also available in a 10° or 12°SF (Straight Flight) TEC model that features heel weighting with a lighter swing weight to promote straighter ball flights.

Based on the best of the best PING has to offer. Built on the best of the best PING has developed through the years. And engineered with every aspect of aerodynamics, center of gravity, inertia, and weight positioning optimally designed to improve your game --- the new PING G30 Tour Driver is yet another magnificent milestone in Mr. Solheim and company’s precise and exacting manufacturing history of making the best equipment that can be made for people to play, the very best they can, the hardest game in the world.

G30 Driver
I have only played one full round with my new driver. I’ve never played a 9 degree clobber, usually a 9 1/2. I hit much straighter with this club. I actually hit 12 fairways and for the first time I had a bit of a draw. We’ll see how it works from here.

Love This Driver
After many years using Taylormade I made the switch to Ping recently. Delighted with the decision and loving the G30's I bought. I have the G30 Tour Driver with the Tour65 shaft. Great decision. All Taylormade Drivers I purchased previously I reshafted immediately. Not this one. Bought the whole set. Driver, 3 wood, hybrid, irons, wedges and putter. Everything feels right straight away. Spent years trying to get the right set previously. Everything fits off the rack. Clubs, shafts and grips. Has renewed my enthusiasm for the game. Can't wait to play again. Pennants team here I come.
Ping scores again
The G30 is the hallmark of game improvement clubs. Ping has done a great a job here understanding what the consumer needs while keeping the traditional look. The G25 was all around great club so I was looking forward to trying the new model. Overall the looks of the club scream hit me solid. Ping added the turbulators which are supposed to increase ball speed. The first few swings I could tell the ball was getting up in the air and quickly. The launch conditions are similar to that of the G25 but I could feel more forgiveness after hitting a few off the toe. Once you find a rhythm with the G30 I find it hard that you would miss any fairways. For those higher swing speeds there is even a stiff lower launching shaft. The only problem I could see coming out of this driver is the standard length is close to 46 inches, but length is a personal preference for everyone. Overall the upgrades for the G30 show that Ping is willing to add technology but also keep the performance that Ping is know
