Project (a) Golf Balls

Engineered to bring out the pro in you!

If you are golfer fortunate enough to be playing or have played in the recent AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, then you might perhaps be the lucky amateur whom TaylorMade will be handing out their new Project (a) golf balls as well as big money charitable donations to golf amateurs as part of TaylorMade’s debut of the new Project (a) ball aimed at non-elite players.

For golfers who can’t make the Pro-Am - AND - hit the green at Pebble Beach's famed par-3 17th during the first three days of the tournament to receive a $1,000 donation to your favorite charity - or hole-in-one for a generous $100,000 to your charity of choice, then we can still easily put the best ball in play for amateurs and purchase a dozen of the new Project (a) golf balls.

The new Project (a) golf ball is made with TaylorMade’s softest and most durable to date Soft Tech technology that is a cast urethane cover cover giving superior greenside performance to mid-handicap golfers where it’s needed the most - inside 100 yards and have you stopping the ball closer to the pin for shorter putts and lower scores.

“Having gathered data from many player types including Tour pros, it’s no secret that amateurs need help generating spin and stopping the ball on the green,” said Dean Snell, vice president of golf ball TaylorMade R&D. “Our tests indicate that amateurs miss the pin by an average of 35 yards on a 150 yard approach shot. Playing Project (a) gives amateur golfers a better chance at stopping the ball on the green, creating better scoring opportunities.”

Put the new Project (a) golf ball in play and have your game playing like a pro.

Awesome Feel and Great Price
Ive been playing this Ball since it came out. It has awesome Feel around the Green and i can Pipe it Down the Fairway a Great Distances. She will Draw for you without to much Difficulty unlike a few other Balls especially in colder weather. Great Ball to play when the Temp gets Chilly. Its Great around the Greens also. .. . Enough of me about the Ball you can try them out yourself and see what you think. Trust me if you spend your Hard earn money on this Ball you wont be Disappointed. .PS there is a Seam on the ball but i use that as a Line for lining up my Putts because thats the true center of the Ball.

Excellent ball for the price! I mainly play these in the off season, but have used them year round. Solid distance, perfect feel on full shots and putting (not to soft not to hard) excellent flight with the driver, (low spin) durable, love the double numbers concept and most of all I love that they are very white! Some will have an issue with the seam showing but not me. Well worth trying and flat out a great ball for the majority of the Golfers out there. 4.7 stars

Construction

TaylorMade Project (a) is a three-piece ball with a React Core, Spin Mantle, 360 dimples, and a Soft Tech cast urethane cover that has a seam.

Brightness

While not the brightest ball on the market it is still very bright.

Durability

Much like the Tour Preferred versions, I saw minor impressions and marks after the first round.

Feel

The Project (a) has a touch softer feel to me compared to the Tour Preferred versions on all my clubs, but it was not super soft.

Who’s it for?

The Project (a) is for players who want a step down from a tour level ball that still provides excellent distance and very good spin around the greens.
