The 2017 M2 combo irons give golfers the complete performance package with low CG, Speed Pocket technology, Face Slots, and Geocoustic engineering. Now innovative performance technologies in M2 irons and rescue clubs work together to help golfers achieve more distance, peak trajectory, and forgiveness.

Irons

New to M2 irons, engineers incorporated Face Slots that help preserve ball speed on shots struck toward the heel or toe, giving golfers more distance and more control—making your mis-hits better and your best shots extraordinary.

Additionally, the M2 irons incorporate a new thin-wall Speed Pocket, designed to increase face flexibility and protect ball speed on strikes below face-center while also increasing launch angle and ball speed.

Further improvements include a new thinner, wider, six-sided Fluted Hosel that saves 5 grams (compared to 3 in the original M2 iron), allowing for the repositioning of 2 grams of discretionary weight lower in the clubhead. The new hosel bend slot also allows for a 30% improvement in bending.

Like the M2 metalwoods, the new M2 irons were designed employing TaylorMade’s new Geocoustic™ engineering techniques; acoustics tuned through geometry to create ideal frequencies for pleasing sound and feel.

Ultra-Low CG and Max-Cor

Moving discretionary weight lower in the head via the new 6-sided fluted hosel and ultra-thin top line provides higher launch and incredible distance. Combined with a thin, Max-COR face, M2 gives golfers distance with consistency on each strike.

Face Slot Technology

Engineered into M2 irons for the first time, Face Slots provide added forgiveness on shots struck toward the heel or toe. Complemented by Speed Pocket technology, which preserves distance on shots struck low on the face, golfers experience ultimate forgiveness on mis-hits.

Geocoustic Engineering

Acoustic engineering through geometry combined with a multi-material fin0badge, dampens unpleasant vibrations for confidence-inspiring sound and feel.

Rescue Hybrids

The 2017 M2 Rescue Hybrids feature the iconic two-tone crown of the M Metalwoods Family and new innovative performance technologies, creating versatility with exceptional sound and feel. These Rescues are designed to help average golfers replace a long iron with higher, longer, and more draw-biased performance.

Geocoustic Technology

Geocoustic engineering combines advanced sole shaping with externalized sound ribs to produce best-in-class sound and feel. Designed with a two-tiered sole, golfers will experience the same unreal distance of the original M1 with added playability from all lies.

Enhanced Speed Pocket

Large, more flexible, open-channel Speed Pocket delivers more ball-speed and less back-spin on low-face shots resulting in more distance and forgiveness.
