Exotics E8 Driver

Exotics E8 Adjustable Driver

The new E8 adjustable driver features a 460cc titanium head with improved weighting. In the E8, the center of gravity is positioned slightly lower and closer to the face, generating faster ball speed with less spin. In addition, the driver’s forgiving design also produces an easy-launching, high trajectory designed for maximum accuracy and forgiveness.

The Power Grid has been refined in the E8. The channel is deeper, further enhancing the accordion effect and increasing spring-effect at impact. The Power Grid cells are aligned in offsetting rows, strengthening the design and allowing the cells to be made thinner for added flexibility and a more powerful launch.

Variable face thickness technology offers multiple levels of thickness that maximize the spring-like effect from more points on the face, especially in the heel and toe areas.

The E8 includes an added adjustability option by incorporating an interchangeable sole weight. The driver comes standard with a 7-gram weight in the sole, but can be changed with the purchase of an optional weight kit. The three-piece weight kit includes a 5-gram, 10-gram, and an 12-gram weight which allows players to reduce the swing weight by 1 point or raise the swing weight by either 1 or 2 points.

  • Center of gravity is positioned lower and closer to the face for faster ball speed with less spin
  • Adjustable lofts from 8.5 to 12 degrees in 1/2 degree increments
  • Interchangeable sole weight kit can be purchased to adjust the club's swingweight

I bought the Tour Edge Exotics E8 driver to replace an old EX4 and I'm very impressed with my selection, I find that I'm not slicing as bad as with my EX4 and getting more yardage when hitting the ball on the middle spot of the face plate, great club I have been playing with a set of EX4 for the last 4 years and I'm very happy with it, also I'm the only known golfer playing with Tour Edge Exotics clubs in my area. The Takeaway

The 460cc titanium head is a clean and simple, with a flat-black color, and easy on the eyes at address. The head shape is classic, well balanced, but nothing fancy. The feel was solid, crisp and not to harsh, accompanied by a solid “ting” sound. I found the forgiveness pleasing overall on the majority of my mishits. Dispersion wise it was very good and I enjoyed the smoothness of the head/shaft combo working together.

Who's It For?

Those looking for a well balanced driver without all the bells and whistles or confusion over adjustability will love this simple yet very playable driver from Tour Edge.

Final Take

The Exotics E8 with the Fuji Pro 62 was very easy to swing and produced solid results once I dialed down the loft to produce a more penetrating ball flight. I found the club to feel a touch on the light side in my hands and would switch out the 7 gram sole weight for the heavier 10 gram to help combat this.
