Description

FG Tour Golf Balls

The Softest Ball Yet

FG Tour is a multilayer urethane golf ball that delivers the same long distance and shot-control as leading competitor's urethane balls with one major difference: the softest feel of any urethane ball on the market.

Targeted for advanced players, the new FG Tour has a 4-piece construction with each layer designed for optimal performance. The rubber-rich soft core provides feel and low driver spin; both mantle layers promote maximized velocity, and the cast urethane cover generates tour-quality spin and control around the greens.

Extensive research conducted by the Wilson Staff R&D team indicates that a majority of lower handicap players prefer a softer feeling golf ball. To achieve even greater feel in the new FG Tour, Wilson Staff lowered the compression to 70 and thus has developed an extraordinarily soft feeling golf ball within the urethane category. (Most competitive urethane balls range between 89 and 107.)

Wilson Staff professional Steen Tinning has played the new FG Tour throughout his 2013 European Senior Tour season. He has championed two events, causing him to rise to the top of the Order of Merit in the fall season, amassing tour-proven attention to the new technologically advanced offering.

You can expect the same performance in your game, so put the new Wilson FG Tour golf ball in play and champion your events with the softest ball on the market today.

Reviews

BALL MUCH, MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED !!!
I FELT I WOULD GIVE THESE TOUR GOLF BALLS A TRY. What a surprise !!! For the Money these Wilson Staff FG Tour Golf Balls are truly GREAT !!! MUCH, MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED !!! They are LONG, STRAIGHT AND HAVE GREAT SPIN AROUND THE GREENS !!! BUY THEM !!! I DID AND I WILL BUY MORE !!!
They are indeed long and quite soft
Based on 18 holes multiple shots from same place.|Very impresive ball. Long and holds the green. REALLY nice in the wind. |I wanted something softer than an _xt Tour and cheaper than the _ro V1 and Wilson comes real close. However $5 cheaper is not cheaper. It plays very similar to the _ro V1. Feels heavier when I hit it with a driver but not with my irons. I almost always play a draw/hook off

Construction

The FG Tour is a four-piece construction ball with a Soft Rubber-rich Core, a DuPont HPF Inner Mantle, a High-Resilience Outer Mantle, a Cast Urethane Cover and 318 dimples.

Brightness

I found the three different Wilson balls that I tested were a very bright white, but not as white as the Srixon balls.

Durability

Based on my testing, the durability was slightly above average.

Feel

Being a 70 compression tour ball, I found the feel to be quite soft, as it should be.

Who’s it for?

Players who left tour balls for the softer feeling balls can now come back to the FG2 and get a soft feeling tour caliber ball.
