Jackson Koivun Captures First PGA Tour Victory at the 3M Open

Jackson Koivun announced himself as golf’s newest rising star on Sunday, earning his first PGA Tour victory at the 3M Open. After entering the final round with a three shot lead, the 21-year-old rookie remained composed throughout the day, holding off a talented field and charging Scottie Scheffler, to complete a breakthrough week. His victory comes just weeks after turning professional, capping a remarkable rise from college standout to PGA Tour winner.

Koivun’s win was built on spectacular ball-striking all week, highlighted by a third round 61 that featured a tournament record back nine and vaulted him into the lead. He carried that momentum into Sunday, displaying the poise of a seasoned veteran while closing out his first PGA Tour title by three shots.

Before joining the professional ranks, Koivun enjoyed one of the greatest amateur and collegiate careers in recent memory at Auburn University. He became the world’s No. 1-ranked amateur, won multiple SEC championships, helped lead Auburn to NCAA team titles, and twice swept college golf’s highest individual honors, including the Haskins, Ben Hogan, and Jack Nicklaus Awards. After turning professional following the 2026 U.S. Open, expectations were high, and he has wasted little time proving he belongs on the PGA Tour.
