2026 CHARLES SCHWAB CHALLENGE - RUSSELL HENLEY

Russell Henley Rallies Late to Win Charles Schwab Challenge
Russell Henley delivered one of the most dramatic finishes of the PGA Tour season Sunday, birdieing his final three holes before defeating Eric Cole in a playoff to win the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Henley entered the closing stretch trailing the leaders, but a clutch run of birdies on Nos. 16, 17, and 18 erased the deficit and forced extra holes. The veteran kept the momentum going in the playoff, making another birdie to secure his sixth PGA Tour victory.
The victory continues a strong season for Henley, whose steady ball-striking and consistency have kept him among the PGA Tour’s most reliable performers. The win also places him in elite company as one of the few players to capture PGA Tour titles in both 2025 and 2026.
For Cole, the runner-up finish was a heartbreaking end after holding the 54-hole lead, but Henley’s late charge proved impossible to stop. With the victory, Henley adds another prestigious title to his résumé and further strengthens his position heading into the heart of the summer schedule.
