Bud Cauley Earns First PGA Tour Victory at RBC Canadian Open

Bud Cauley captured his first PGA Tour title Sunday, winning the 2026 RBC Canadian Open with a final-round 65 to finish at -17. The 36-year-old pulled away on the back nine with a series of clutch birdies, securing a two-shot victory and finally breaking through after more than a decade on Tour.

The win was especially meaningful for Cauley, who overcame significant adversity following a serious car accident in 2018 that left him with multiple injuries and sidelined him for an extended period. His determination to return to elite golf has made him one of the Tour’s most respected comeback stories.

A former standout at the University of Alabama, Cauley turned professional in 2011 and quickly showed promise, recording several runner-up finishes and consistently contending. However, a PGA Tour victory had always eluded him... until now. With his breakthrough win in Canada, Cauley not only earns a spot in the winner’s circle but also completes one of the most inspiring journeys on the PGA Tour.
