Fitzpatrick Edges Scheffler in Playoff to Win RBC Heritage
Matt Fitzpatrick delivered under pressure Sunday, defeating world #1 Scottie Scheffler in a playoff to win the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town.
Fitzpatrick entered Sunday's final round with a mutli shot lead, but after a bogey on the 72nd hole dropped him back into a tie with Scheffler, Fitzpatrick responded with a clutch birdie on the first playoff hole to secure the win. The victory marks his second win at Harbour Town (2023, 2026), and second win this season, following his win last month at the Valspar Championship.
