The #1 Grip in golf. The Golf Pride company was founded in 1949 by Cleveland-based inventor and golf enthusiast Thomas L. Fawick. While developing the pneumatic clutch and brake, Fawick observed that the inherent qualities in rubber would make it an excellent material for golf grips, which were mostly leather at the time. His product innovation created a more secure and durable gripping surface for golfers. The company has continued to grow, and today more than 80 percent of Tour professionals play using Golf Pride grips.
