PING i530 Irons

Get Higher and Farther

If you desire a compact, blade-style head and your primary goal is more distance, the new i530 is engineered to launch the ball higher and farther with the consistency and predictability to hit shots closer to the hole. Distance gains come from multiple sources including a highly flexible forged face in a hollow-body design that will add yards with tighter dispersion.

Forged Face

Like PING's previous player’s distance designs, a forged, highly flexible maraging steel C300 face is precisely welded to the 17-4 stainless steel hollow body, creating bending that produces big distance gains.

Hollow-Body Design

The hollow body allows for face bending that generates faster ball speeds and greater distance. An arcing sole cascade accentuates flexing and combines with distance-optimized lofts to ensure max height with stopping power on greens.

Confidence Inspiring

Blade enthusiasts will appreciate the compact head’s thin top line, narrow sole and shallow face height. The clean, premium look owes in part to a new machining technique that thins the back wall, saving weight to help with forgiveness and tighten dispersion.

More Grooves, More Spin

Precision-milled MicroMax grooves (tighter spacing, more grooves) ensure consistent launch and spin results and score-lowering performance from all conditions.

Pro and a Joe Reviews by Golf Discount

From The Pro:

Wow! After a brief test drive on the launch monitor, I was ready to put these irons in the bag immediately. These Ping i530's were more forgiving than I thought they were going to be, while still having the clean look at address. Especially the longer irons, which usually require a more precise strike, when I hit what felt like a mis-hit, I still saw consistent distance and less dispersion than most clubs built in this style. One of the smoothest feeling PING irons I've hit. For a single digit handicapper, these irons seem to be the perfect blend of distance, feel, and forgiveness.

From The Joe:

I might have to make an iron change because my numbers with these were incredible. At address it almost resembled a blade which I was a huge fan of but wasn't sure if I'd like the results in terms of distance and forgiveness. I gained almost 20 yards of carry distance when comparing them side by side with my current gamer. Super forgiving on my off-center hits too, not only would I get comparable distance, the ball wouldn't sling off to the right on my heel or toe strikes. The sidespin was down about 500 rpms on average from 650 to 150 side-spin. That's a huge difference! I think these clubs would be perfect for a mid handicapper looking for a smaller profile iron, and looking to gain distance and forgiveness.
