Akshay Bhatia captured a dramatic victory Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, rallying late to defeat Daniel Berger in a sudden-death playoff at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge.

Bhatia erased a four-shot back-nine deficit with a clutch stretch that included key birdies and an eagle to tie Berger at 15-under par and force extra holes. In the playoff, Berger three-putted while Bhatia calmly two-putted to seal the win and claim the tournament’s iconic red cardigan.

The victory marks Bhatia’s third career title on the PGA Tour and the biggest win of his young career, further establishing the 24-year-old as one of the Tour’s rising stars.
